Soma lies some 200km north east of Izmir where these rough block prints were produced, mostly for cotton down filled bedquilts. This narrow hand-loomed section depicting a jardiniere with flowers, is a fragment from a much larger piece, which would have consisted of multiple joined strips. A most charming and relatively early example.
